Job Description
The Mobile Operations Manager is responsible for managing the mobile in-vehicle speed enforcement operations including, but not limited to, scheduling, monitoring, fleet management and providing response services to drivers. The Mobile Operations Manager reports to the Managing Director.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain procedures to secure 100% operational integrity;
- Reporting incidents that might affect the integrity of the operation;
- Attend to accidents/incidents that might affect the safety of drivers and/or the integrity of the program;
- Scheduling of mobile in-vehicle speed enforcement operations nationwide,based on road crash statistics, in close coordination with our client;
- Assessment of routes and route deviations;
- Management of staff, drivers and observers including hiring, training,vetting, scheduling and continuous performance assessment;
- Fleet management;
- Collate information and evidence to support investigations into incidents and provide reports;
- Undertake operational support duties as required to include, but not limited to (staff) performance monitoring, seasonal duties, contingency planning,audit work;
- Keep fleet in impeccable condition;
- Timely report issues regarding the enforcement equipment to the technicalstaff;
- In collaboration with the QSHE Manager, prepare and maintain procedures, determine and monitor KPI’s.
Required Skills or Experience
- Experience of at least 5 years in nationwide fleet management required with responsibility for fleet and personnel;
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as logistics or a related discipline. Additional qualifications or certifications in fleet management would be a plus;
- Trustworthy;
- Must have experience in the development, implementation and maintenance of procedures;
- Accurate and well developed analytical skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Decision making skills and good judgement ability;
- Handson, flexible, dynamic;
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
- Strong IT skills for managing data, maintaining records and utilizing software systems related to fleet and operational management;
- Eager to be part of a young organization;
- Determined to make a life saving difference to all road users in Ghana
