Job Description
Namene Solar is currently seeking a full-time position for a data analyst to join our Climate Team. This is an exciting opportunity to help a growing team deliver incredible impact by managing the data analysis and data quality control process in the company to track the distribution, monitoring and reporting of solar lights in projects in Africa and other locations.
This is a rare opportunity for a data analyst to contribute to making a direct impact in rural off-grid communities by enabling first time access to clean lighting and solar energy through better data analytics on data quality control, customer satisfaction and other data driven insights.
The successful candidate will report to the Head of Climate and Managing Director and will be responsible for maintaining and updating the current company databases and data analytics tools and reporting systems and provide support to the country offices and the Climate team.
 
Role and responsibilities
·        Database analysis – analyse data pertaining our solar light carbon distribution projects.
·        Conduct data quality assurance audit, verification processes and implement data correction solutions.
·        Run and manage data scripts from our project and company database.
·        Execute data quality control strategies and policies.
·        Work closely with:
–   Research and Training Associate to design better data collection processes.
–   Operations Associate to ensure data collection processes are implemented.
–   Local Data Analysts in our country operations to coordinate data strategies across climate projects.
–   Operations and After Sales team to propose and implement data solutions.
·        Recommend and update data policies and procedures to improve quality and efficiency.
·        Collaborate with sales team to improve effectiveness and efficiency of data collection.
·        Create customised reports on data analytics.
 
Skills and Experience
This is an entry-level role in data analysis, although previous experience working in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry a plus.
A strong candidate would possess:

·        Strong skills on database analysis software
·        Python programming skills
·        Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
·        Strong analytical skills with great attention to detail
Additional skills
·        Excellent communication skills in English. Additional languages are an advantage.
·        Team player, able to delegate and to share tasks and responsibilities within a team.
·        Active listener, customer oriented and able to improve processes and services provided to clients and partners.
